Locklan!

I can't believe how fast he's growing...

He changes every day...

Andy and Ashley are enjoying him so much!

Parenthood agrees with Andy, that's for sure!

They not only look alike, they act alike!

They love hanging out together...

Spending time outdoors...

With all the right accessories!

His dad is teaching him how to be a real man and use charcoal at the river...

He has a BFF, his cousin, Bentley...

Even Pappy Ron (aka Mr. K) gets such a kick out of him!

On Saturday, Ashley was in her friend's wedding...

Which means...

We get the kid!

Tony and Noelle couldn't wait...

They wanted to take him for a walk...

And they wore him out!

After he woke from his nap,
He was a little fussy (I think he missed his mom)...

Ashley told us that he loves watching Cars on Netflix...

And he does, but our TV is on the mantle and he wasn't used to looking up to see it...

So Noelle helped him...

She stood there, holding him up so he could watch Mater...

He loved it!
(and I think she did too)

Nah...we aren't spoiling him!

Of course...

Grandma had to go out and get him his very own Mater...

And his dad scored these vintage Tonka trucks at our neighborhood garage sale...

I forgot how much fun babies can be!

~sigh~

We are blessed!

Ahhhh, hammock napping...

It has been years since I had a hammock, and the thought of laying on the patio with a glass of wine and my Kindle has been on my bucket list for a while.

Last winter, Mr. K bought me a hammock so I could do just that.

It sat in the box in the garage all winter...and finally, last weekend I asked him to bring it upstairs so we could assemble it...

Life always seems to get in the way here.  Mr. K was out of town all last week and finally, yesterday, Tony offered to assemble it...

It didn't seem all that hard, but was it safe?

We let Noelle try it first...

Seemed like it was working...but wait!  It said it could hold up to 350 pounds...

We though we'd try it...

Hmmmm...Not even close, lol!

Well, since it will hold them, it must be strong enough for the really important stuff...

It worked!

If you want me, I'll be out on the patio...

Super Sunday!

My family got together yesterday for our 'not quite' holiday dinner.

When my kids became adults and adopted other families,
we began celebrating on off weeks for most holidays
(other than Christmas Eve, which is mandatory).
This was our 'not quite' Easter dinner in more ways than one...
there wasn't an egg in sight!

Noelle, Winnie and Tony came motoring up first...

They were out enjoying the wonderful weather...

They hit up the park for a doggie walk...

With a stop at the batting cages for good measure...

By time they got to the house, Winnie was pooped
but Tony and Noelle had energy to spare...

And tossed a football around

They even tried to get Michael and Catherine to join in...

Catherine said no...
and NO PICTURES and hid behind the bushes!

So they kept on playing...

No...Mr.K was not joining in the game, he was picking up twigs, lol!

I think they burned off enough energy to eat all of these...

And of course, Catherine's famous apple pie.
Seriously, even if they didn't want to show up,
if I promise her apple pie, they would come!

For our 'not quite' Easter dinner, I don't set a formal table, but we eat buffet style.

Tony and Noelle said that when you go to a sporting banquet, this is how you save your seats...

I give up...

We did manage to sit down and enjoy our dinner together.

I love it when we get together!

Of course,

the guest of honor was...

who brought his parents, Andy and  (a very camera shy)  Ashley...

Locklan wasn't even impressed with all the attention he got from Michael and Vicky...

Or his great grandmother...

No, he's not picking his nose!

In fact, he didn't even seem impressed with the chair I just couldn't pass up on Saturday...

Won't this be great for the river?

Jamie was here too...I know 'cause Mr. K conned him into
helping take the boat out of the garage...

Cause you know...I complained that I had nowhere to park my car...
So they moved it to the driveway?!?

~HELLO!~
~sigh~

Now I can relax a bit...
I'm working on dish cloths again...

It's mindless knitting so that I can be productive while sitting here...

enjoying the sun...

AND planning my next adventure!

Stay tuned!
