Let's Clean Up!

I know that I have so much to talk about

but I'm still playing 'catch up' after being out of commission for all that time...

But I want to keep in touch, and I want to share my family...

Now I don't know if you know, but I'm a Norwex junkie!

Just before Ashley was going back to work and I was going to watch Locklan

My neighbor introduced me to the products that would clean your house with just water...

No Chemicals!

I fell in love.  I had a crawling baby...I didn't want chemicals on the floors!

It took a while, but little by little Ashley fell in love with them too.

She's now a consultant, which means we own at least one of everything they sell...

But seriously, after 5 years...

She posted these photos...

Now I don't know about you, but if I found a 'magic' cloth that would make my kids want to clean...

I'd buy two!

Seriously...

My boys were very helpful around the house.

Once, when my dad was in the hospital, his pastor said the would stop at the house for coffee.

Before leaving for the hospital, I wrote a note for the boys...

"Pastor Jeff coming.  Please do not leave your dishes in the sink."

That afternoon I came home to find the sink full of shoes and the dirty dishes on the floor beside the back door...

Kids...and you were wondering why I stopped at 4?

Okay, time to get busy...

Love to all...

I Refuse!

Even though the thermometer on my desk says it's 40 degrees outside my kitchen window...

Even though they are saying it's autumn...

Even though Andy and I had a detailed conversation about pulling the boat and docks for the season...

I REFUSE to admit summer is over.

I REFUSE to decorate for fall.

I am not giving up my grip on summer that quickly.

This was the best, most fun summer we have had in years!

No way!  You won't see colored leaves, scare crows or pumpkins here,

Not until October, maybe later.

Maybe I'll leave summer things up until it's time to decorate for Christmas.

I'm thinking that we can wear winter coats and take the boat out.

Hand warmers, foot warmers and hot chocolate?

On the other hand...

Yes!  That awful awning is gone!

In probably 10 days, our new patio covering will be here!

Thanks to my guys!

Getting Ahead?

Last night Ashley and Mindy were planning on a night out with a group of friends...

They had tickets to see 'I Mom So Hard.'

I knew that Ashley had seen them before and loved them...

What I didn't know was that Andy and Tony were planning to chill with the kids...

That's 3 kids, 4, 1 and 7 months...

Next thing I knew, the first official act as DICs...Dads In Charge, was...

Yes, that is Locklan.  Yes that is Locklan's head between those bars...

I knew you'd want to know, so I asked...

Andy's reply:  Haha, yes, he's fine.  Last week it was the dog!

As frightening as it might seem, it brought back memories and that 'warm fuzzy' feeling.

Thirty years ago, I stood by, giggling nervously while watching Mark struggle to get Andy free
from the back porch rail in our house!

~sigh~

As much as things change, they stay the same!

Not All Grandmas are Great...

Last week, Locklan came to spend the night...

I love those times and try to make them special...

He's growing so quickly, it was time for new grandma-house pajamas...

He was pretty tickled with them!

The next day, we played with one of our favorite things,
those glass stones from the dollar store!

We make designs, we separate them into colors,
we even count them...
Over the past few months, we've accumulated about 8 pounds of them...

How do I know?
Our latest project...

We weighed them on the kitchen scale!

Lunch time, Locklan showed off his chop stick ability...

He even figured out how to eat a peanut butter sandwich!

Later, Andy and Teagan picked us up and we went to visit my mom...

Teagan loves Grandma Toots as long as she can sit on Dad's lap!

Yesterday, Tony, Andy and Locklan went out to play with their RC trucks...

Mr K and I went sectional shopping...

But I couldn't make up my mind...

And since Mr K has had a hankering for German Food,
We headed for one of our favorites...

so he could chow down on Stuffed Kielbasa!

That should keep him happy for a while!

~soooooooo~

It's still sunny out there,
Mr K announced he has a cold...

sooooooo I'm going shopping!
