Two Day Tuesday.

Now, you might not care, but I am wondering where I've been and what I have been doing.
After all, it's been a while and to be honest, I'll have to go to my phone to see what I photographed.

On Sunday, Tony and Mindy called to say they were on the bike trail, could they stop in...

We had a great visit.  You know what happens when I'm enjoying something...

I forget to take photos.  Fortunately, Tony shared this one...

Henry loves bike rides!

Locklan came to spend the night...

He woke me at 3AM to tell me he wasn't sleepy.

We went into the family room to cuddle.
He went back to sleep.
I did not.

I might have been a little crabby that day.

After you sleep with the plaid blanket,
you drag it out onto the patio to make a fort...

Grandma Jan barely recovered from that day when I invited the kids back so Locklan could help me pressure wash the patio...

He spent half the time scrubbing the patio, half the time flipping it over and squirting everyone.

After they got bored, they filled a pool, dragged the slide over and had a ball!

We have a section of the yard that we try to get grass to grow...
Completely without luck.

Tony reseeded it a few years ago, even came and watered it every morning on his way to work...

Usually it's just ugly, but with the hose running, we had a mess.

I promised Ashley years ago that I would never return her kids clean.

This was one of those days.

I was sitting on the patio, just snapping photos with my phone when I managed to snag this gem...

The day ended up with two very tired kids...

Tuesday lasted two days this week...

Every Tuesday the cleaning ladies come,
so does the lawn care guys...

Yesterday the lawn care guys came and mulched...

I don't have a photo of the splendid job the guys did and I'm too lazy to stand up and take one!

They said they would be back this morning to mow.

We finally sat down with the guy from Bright Covers to discuss a new cover for our patio.

We currently have a sunsetter awning and I HATE  it.  If you want to know why, shoot me an email.

My brother-in-law has a Bright Cover and they love it.
I knew that's what I wanted.

We signed on the dotted line, that's the good part...

The bad part is that they are working 12 weeks out...

And lastly, the part of  Tuesday that got carried into Wednesday...

My lawn guy!

Top that!
If I don't talk to you before then, have a safe and festive Fourth!

Another Tuesday!

I know I said that I would show you photos from the weekend...

But yesterday was Tuesday and you know how well I get along with Tuesdays...

It started early and easy.  I had coffee on the patio while waiting for Mr. K to wake up.

I haven't gone out in public (or to shop) in forever.

Mr. K has no hobbies, doesn't read and most of all, doesn't mind running to the store.

He volunteered to run to Sam's Club.

I gave him a list.

On the list was a bag of those tiny potatoes.

He did send me a text saying that they had no hard salami...

I was upstairs when he got home, he put the groceries away.

Then I decided to run to Michaels for paint so Locklan and I could work on a project.

I was gone about 45 minutes when Ashley called, asking me to ride to Sam's and sit with the kids in the car while she ran in to pick up one thing.

Instead, I met them there.

Mission accomplihed.

I went home to start dinner.  I had a killer salmon recipe I couldn't wait to make.

I put the salmon in the oven and went to start the baby potatoes that Mr. K bought.

Where were they?

First he said he put them in the fridge.

Nope.

The basement?  The Pantry?  Left in his car?

Nope, nope and nope.

We searched and searched.  I checked his receipt.

Yes, he bought them.  No, we did not have them.

He suggested noodles.

The salmon recipe said to bake the salmon and then broil it for 2 to 3 minutes.

I did.  After 2 minutes, it looked heavenly, it smelled divine.

I went to open the oven and flames shot out!

I screamed and slammed the door.

I tried again, same thing, well, almost the same thing...

This time Mr.K came running with the fire extinguisher and sprayed the east wall of the kitchen, the inside of the oven, my beautiful salmon dinner AND the noodles cooking on top of the stove.

Sigh...it was Tuesday...

We ate Wendy's.

This is the Best!

Our ice maker broke!

I thought of buying a counter top ice maker.

Mr. K said why not buy a whole new fridge!

I didn't let that thought leave his head...

As soon as we knew Ashley was okay, we headed to Lowes.

I know, we never learn.

Bob, the salesman was so helpful!

I guess we weren't thinking when he asked what width fridge we needed, but we were thankful that he asked.  We went home to measure the opening.

It was 33" and the fridge we liked was 36.

Back to the drawing board!

The next day, we went back to Lowes where a very nice sales person named Jenny
spent more than an hour on the computer looking for a fridge that filled every requirement:

Four Door
Through the door ice and water
Fingerprint resistant stainless Steel
33 Inches wide.

She found it!

She checked and even went to the stock room to be sure.
They had three in stock!

Bingo!

As she wrote up the sale, she explained that if we wanted the old one removed, it would be $30 but if we wanted it moved to the garage or basement, there would be no charge.

She also told us that the delivery guys would call at least 2 hours before they came...
and that if we wanted, they would put the old fridge in the garage.

We were excited and set up delivery for Tuesday
Because I never learn.

In my defense, Tuesday is my only free day...
I have Locklan and Teagan Monday, Wednesday and Friday
and other regularly scheduled appointments on Thursday.

Tuesday morning, I was sitting in my pajamas, drinking coffee when I mentioned to Mr. K
that I thought they would be here by then.

Ding dong...it's the fridge guys who insisted that they talked to one of us that morning.
We checked both phones and even though there was no record of a call from them, they insisted.

As I scurried to empty the fridge, they asked if they were taking the old one.

We told them no, that it was going to the garage, I was giving it to my nephew.

They told me that they didn't do that.

We stood our ground and then they agreed to take the old one to the garage.

They brought the new one in and told us to turn off the water.

Ten minutes later, the cleaning crew came and of course
WE HAD NO WATER!!!

They did what they could, dusting and sweeping and they left.

45 minutes later, the installers called Mr. K into the kitchen...
Jenny, had ordered the wrong fridge, she ordered the  36 inch model!

It did not fit in the hole!

I had a wonderful, new fridge in the middle of the kitchen.

They shrugged.  They had done
 their job, delivering and installing.

They said to call the store.

Oh, and then they charged us $30 for moving the old one.

But Wait!

Mr. K went to the store and found that a comparable fridge in 33 inches was $800 more...
but it's only money, right?

But wait!

The new one wont be here until April!

So once again, I'll share cuteness...
