Let's Celebrate!

Wednesday, Mr. K and I celebrated our fifth anniversary!

Well, technically, we didn't really celebrate...

 

We acknowledged our anniversary and made plans to celebrate the next day

(Which was yesterday)

 

Since we do what we like when we want,

we decided that since there were cruises we wanted to take...

concerts we wanted to see...

food we wanted to eat...

We'd just do something simple.

 

We decided to go to dinner at one of our local restaurants that we really enjoy

and then hit the cinema to see Bohemian Rhapsody

 

 (I have always been a huge Queen fan)

 

Dinner was so nice, we had a corner table, the server was personable...

The timing was right, the show started at 7:05 (which is dangerously close to my 8:00 crash and burn time).

 

We got to the theater at 6:55...

Mr. K hit up the rest room while I inhaled the scent of popping popcorn...

 

We went to purchase the tickets...

I looked at Mr. K to see him frisking himself...

Giving himself a real pat down...

No wallet!

 

We headed back to the restaurant where they had his wallet waiting for him...

 

By this time, it was too late to see the movie!

 

~sigh~

 

Maybe tonight!

Just a year ago, we celebrated this...

Today they are not only celebrating their first anniversary...

But celebrating this...

As well!

It's been a heck of a year for them...

Congrats, you two...

We love you!

Not yet!

I know I promised wedding photos...

 

I'm still waiting for some to come in,

organizing the ones I do have...

 

So, an anniversary photo of a couple who celebrated their fourth anniversary

on the cruise will have to do...

I'm trying to remember to take more pictures.

Me...the woman who always had a camera shoved in someone's face...

Celebrate that anniversary...

And we did...we had a wonderful dinner at Lidia's,

and then went to see the Christmas exhibit at

 Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

 

I tried, to share with you guys, and to serve as a remembrance of our first anniversary,

 to take a selfie of us...

Clearly, Selfies are for the very young...

 

But we persevered...

Oh well...

 

It was raining, we were soaked (check out my hair...It did some pretty strange things), 

 we had much to celebrate!

To my husband...

To Ron, my husband of ONE YEAR TODAY...

To think, at one time, not all that long ago, we were two lonely people, wondering (and maybe even believing) that we would live out our remaining years alone...

But then...

 

So much has happened...

 

We've been so many places...

 

 

 

 

 

We've done so many things...

 

 

We've been through a lot

 

 

The photo above  is what you look like 5 hours after a knee replacement...

 

But...

 

 

We survived, and thrived!  It's been a wild and crazy year, full of surprises...
