We love you!

 I know...

It's been three weeks since the wedding!

I promise you and update but for the moment, I am soooo busy!

Just remember this...

We love you...

And we'll be BACK in a flash...

Soon, I promise!

Not yet!

I know I promised wedding photos...

I'm still waiting for some to come in,
organizing the ones I do have...

So, an anniversary photo of a couple who celebrated their fourth anniversary
on the cruise will have to do...

Did you like that?
How about another one?

If you thought those were cute
check out this one...

I know...we're adorable.

Happy anniversary, Mr K!
I love you!

It figures!

I'm up and at it early...

It's still (as Locklan says) darking  outside...

It's Monday, the wedding is Friday...

And I am sick!

I have a wicked sore throat, runny nose, everything hurts...

Oh well, it's not about me, it's about Tony and Mindy.

While Mindy, her mother and aunt were out doing girly pampering things (like massages and pedicures)  yesterday,

Tony came to do guy things (like watch football and talk sports stats) with Ron...

Tony was sick!

Go figure!

On a brighter note...

This...

is what's trying to lure me back into bed this morning!

Mom and dad worked the earliest shit this morning, so he came to spend the night!

After his bath, when he was all warm and cuddly,
we jumped into grandma's bed to get under the "awesome" blanket and read.

That was at 9.  When I woke again at 3AM, I decided to break all rules
and just cuddle for the rest of the night!

~sigh~

Life is good!

The countdown begins...

One day last week, I spent the afternoon going through photos...

Of this guy...

You know him...

Yes, it's Tony!

Mindy asked me to dig out his photo box
(I was a photographer, not a scrapbooker.
We had a million photos, just no organization)

What fun to take that trip down memory lane!

The countdown to the wedding (I think it's ten days now) starts NOW!

Here comes the bride!

Saturday was such a great day,
we went to the wedding of my nephew,
Kyle and his beautiful bride, Marissa!

Don't they look happy?
I can hardly believe that Kyle is all grown up,
married and ready to start a new life with his life partner.

It seems like only yesterday his mom, Mark's sister Donna,
walked up to me and handed me a rose.

She explained that it wasn't just any rose,
but a very special rose for aunts-to-be.

I remember bursting into tears...
this was a long awaited, much anticipated announcement!

The ceremony was wonderful,
The reception was such fun!

Everyone danced, even Kyle's 94 year old grandmother,
who uses a wheel chair, got out there and did the Chicken Dance!

It was so cute...they stopped on the way down the aisle for just one more kiss!

But before the wedding...
Tony posted this photo on facebook...

With the comment that after watching YouTube videos, he thought he had it all figured out...

Hmmmmm...I do remember Mark putting on a tie and tying it,
then loosening the knot, slipping it off and putting it on Tony...

Fortunately, he and Mindy somehow (almost) got it figured out...

I guess you could say they tied the knot too?

Andy and Ashley weren't able to go to the wedding...

So here is my obligatory Locklan/Dad photo...

See you next time?

Sarah and Tom's excellent wedding, part 2!

I promised to tell you about Sarah and Tom's incredible wedding...

First, she was an incredibly beautiful bride...

Who was walked down the aisle by her equally good looking father...

 The ceremony was perfect!

Aren't they an awesome couple?

Let me tell you...

Not only is Sarah a beautiful bride,
She's also a loving mom to her son, Gino...

Who seemed thrilled to be a part of the ceremony!

And added to the solemn occasion with a roaring dinosaur noise!

She also just received her MSW (with high honors, no less)
from Fordham University!

Whew!

Before the wedding, Ashley asked me if I could make this...

(shown partially completed)

For Locklan to wear to the wedding.

I could, I did...

He didn't seem as though he liked his tie...

But before too long, he realized that it tasted good!

Locklan enjoyed smoozing with the ladies...

Here he's flirting with his great aunt, Diane...

And wow, did he love dancing with his parents!

They're such a sweet family...

When I think that this will be Andy's first Father's Day...I get all choked up!

Sigh...

Yes, we are blessed!
We have so many things we are thankful for...

Yes!

With great pride and love...

May I present:

My middle son, Andy, and Ashley, his beautiful bride!

Saturday, March 23, 2013

Just get me to the church on time....

Oh heck no, I'm not getting married, who would have moi?

A long time friend/co-worker of Andy is getting married today. The wedding is in a few hours and at my age, it takes that long to become stunning...

Stunning? Stunning. Me. Stunning.

We'll see.

Hey, what are you doing this weekend? From what I hear, you should be queuing up to buy bread, milk and toilet paper-there's snow on the way.

Stay safe,
God bless you!

August started with a BANG!

Michael, my oldest son, married the beautiful Catherine in a wonderful and elegant wedding in a lovely mansion in Pittsburgh.

Andy and Tony were Michael's best men, he said he didn't want to decide between his brothers, isn't that cute?

It was a wonderful time to get all four of my kids together for a photo...
And even one with spouses, fiancees and girl friends!
And one of our family!
For the most part, my children were on their best behavior. Vicky and Kailyn just had a momentary lapse of judgment.

Please indulge a very proud mother...and pretend like I didn't post a thousand photos of this wedding!

Michael left home when he was 20...just short of half his lifetime ago. Over the years, he asked me about pictures of himself when he was young. I used to kid him and say he could have them when he got married. After all, by time he was 30 and still single, I thought I was safe. That's how he and Catherine annouced to me that they were engaged...they asked for his pictures!

What a wonderful trip down memory lane that was!

Oh, and you are wondering about Bill? He's doing fine...bigger and better.
August also brought Tony's 20th birthday...
And Tony and Morgan went back to school, Morgan for her freshman year, Tony for his sophomore year. How quickly time flies!
We continued to enjoy the river...more and more each week! The kids never tired of playing in the water
Some days we had the whole family there!
Even my grand dog, Max, and my son-in-law went in swimming, some by choice...
It always makes me feel good to see my kids play together and be friends.
Everyone made themselves at home. My daughter didn't get off this innertube all afternoon. If she didn't have her second degree black belt, the boys might have knocked her off!
My grandson, JR, came home from spending the summer at his father's house in Virginia. Andy and JR have always had such a special relationship, can you see the love there?
I could have spent every waking hour on the dock. Did I ski or knee board? Heck no...THIS is my idea of summer heaven on the dock:
Are you enjoying this as much as I am?

The end of August brought good news for Andy and Kailyn. The house that they had been watching for six months, became available for rent. They were in seventh heaven!

You'd think, that since Andy is my third child to leave home, I would be used to it.

NOT!

Tune in for September!
