Teagan, make my day!

Not a good day.

Doctor's appointment complete with injections into both knees
and a chiropractic adjustment.

In between, I got a text telling me that Mark's uncle had died.

I felt like I had been kicked in the gut.

After 2-1/2 hours in the doctor's offices, I headed home...

Only to receive a text that my sister-in-law's (my brother's wife) father had died.

I was feeling sad, down, overwhelmed...

I sat on my sofa, and suddenly heard a text message sound...

Dreading it, I checked...

It was from Andy!

It was a photo!

Apparently, Miss Teagan had done her own makeup!

Just what I needed.

That was hours ago and I'm still laughing!

I can only hope that she used a washable marker!

That's   life...

You go up...
you go down...
and you come up again...

And it snowed today!
And that's a good thing!

I think this one is a winner!

Do you remember when I bought this...

Click HERE to see the story behind these...

Occasionally, I buy really dumb things that seem like a great idea?!?

One of my (quickly broken) New Year Resolution was to stop doing that...

Then I saw this...

Now anyone who has been reading RSM for any amount of time knows that we're a real snow family!

I do take vacations in warm and balmy places,
but the highlight of my year is my annual solo 500 mile trip to
Clayton, NY, on the St. Lawrence Seaway, every February.  I love snow and winter!

Since Locklan came along, I am always on the lookout for snowy activities.

I Amazon primed these snowball makers in a flash!

We've been having record setting low temps and a bit of snow.

They came and I headed out to the patio to try them...

Eek!  Total failure.  The (dry and powdery) snow was not what was needed.

Next Tony tried them, even spraying the snow with water before making them into snowballs.

Epic failure, such a failure we didn't even photograph it...

On Monday, we had a snow day.  Tons of wet, heavy snow!

The minute I heard that (of course the Weather Channel is on all day, we're old!)...

I put on my boots and headed  for the front porch with this...

and in seconds had this...

Amazing, perfect size and shape for ambushing your neighbors...

Sadly, it was too cold to wait on the front porch for the neighbors to come out
and way too cold for them to come out in the first place...

So the moral of the story is...

Guess there really isn't one...

Oh well!

Life ain't fair...

Remember when I told you how much I loved snow?

How pretty my back yard looked?

Remember how I thought this...

was funny?

Remember how I loved looking out the front window and seeing this???

And how I thought I was adorable wearing these???

Really, I was pretty okay with that...

But then Tony and Noelle went to Clearwater for vacation and sent me this...

And they saw this...

and this...

And dressed like this...

To see this...

They rented this...

And went tootin' around town like this...

They had birds on their heads...

And ate things with eyes, which according to Tony, stared at him...

They drank these...

Here...

And all the while, we had...

It even made Locklan think...

If he could talk, he'd be asking,
"Grandma, did Uncle Tony really go to a place where there wasn't any snow"

It just ain't fair!!!!!

We're so ready for spring!

How about you?

What Does Ground Hog Stew Taste Like?

I've had it! It was all fun and games yesterday when the snow was perfect for making snowmen, but then it got warmer and started to rain.

The snowman fell over, the melting snow made a dam on the front porch, trapping the rest of the melted snow, making a pond on the porch.

The temperatures dropped so fast that before I knew it, we had a skating rink on the porch. Linda got stuck halfway up the stairs and wouldn't move. Ever try to carry a mastiff up icy stairs?

Then I come in and hear that Punxy Phil said six more weeks of winter?

Get ready...

Get ready, here it comes...

The day we trust our weather to a rodent!

What are you hoping he does?
