correction: after counting backwards and consulting with my historian (Tony), we've determined it has been EIGHT years!
7 years and two weeks ago,
7 years and two weeks ago,
I made the decision to quit smoking...
Seven years ago yesterday,
I smoked my last cigarette.
Seven years ago today,
I became a non-smoker.

Congrats! From what I'm told it is a difficult thing to do. I never smoked but my parents did...that was enough to steer me away. You should be proud of the example you are setting ~
Good for you, Jan. I have watched my husband struggle off and on for 35 years trying to quit. He went 5 years one time and went right back to a pack and a half a day. I an so proud of you- I know what will power that takes- xo Diana
