Ten of the longest and fastest moving years.

 I can't believe it's been ten years.

I can still hear your voice...

and Arnie's bark.

You are missed!

Teagan, make my day!

Not a good day.

Doctor's appointment complete with injections into both knees
and a chiropractic adjustment.

In between, I got a text telling me that Mark's uncle had died.

I felt like I had been kicked in the gut.

After 2-1/2 hours in the doctor's offices, I headed home...

Only to receive a text that my sister-in-law's (my brother's wife) father had died.

I was feeling sad, down, overwhelmed...

I sat on my sofa, and suddenly heard a text message sound...

Dreading it, I checked...

It was from Andy!

It was a photo!

Apparently, Miss Teagan had done her own makeup!

Just what I needed.

That was hours ago and I'm still laughing!

I can only hope that she used a washable marker!

That's   life...

You go up...
you go down...
and you come up again...

And it snowed today!
And that's a good thing!

I Wasn't Going to Talk About This

I was going to pretend that today was just like any other...
But I can't.

This afternoon, about 1 o'clock will mark the 8th anniversary of the day our lives changed dramatically.

The day my boys lost their best friend as well as their dad.

The day I lost the husband that I was finally getting used to
(after 27 years)

It happened so fast, so unexpectedly...

We still talk about him as though he was in another room.

We still laugh at some of his antics.

Once, when we were cracking up about something he did,
Mr. K piped up with, "I miss him too!"

I know we'll see each other again...

One of these days.

RIP, Mark

We can still celebrate

Sixty one years ago, in a blink, you were there!

July 28, 1958

Third child, first son.

Fifty three years later, in a blink, you were gone!

October 8, 2011

Husband, father, brother, friend.

Between those two dates, so much happened!

You are so missed.  We talk about you, laugh about the things you said as if you were just around the corner.

In a sense you are...

We'll see you again soon.

Until then, we'll cherish our memories...

How strange is this?

Yesterday, Andy and Locklan came to cut the grass, eat lunch and play.

When Locklan came in...

I chuckled...

But suddenly, when I became aware of the date, I thought of this man...

It must be genetic?

and realized that today it was five years ago that we said good bye...

Five years?  I wish I could say it flew by, that we are fine...

But sometimes it dragged by, there were days when just a heart beat seemed like a chore...

Well always miss you, but we know we'll see you again.

Love you!

Rest in Peace, Linda Lou

Yesterday I lost my best friend, my care taker, my therapist...

My dog, Linda Lou.

She took with her a huge piece of my heart.

We had a beautiful love story which lasted the entire 8½  years we had together.

I'll share it in a few days.

For now, I'll just sit back with my memories and my tears.

Rest in peace, my precious friend.  I'll find you again one day!
